A Baby-Step Journey Through
Technology for Education and Training

| As I began my journey through the
Technology for Education and Training (TET) program, I had very little
knowledge about the use of technology in general. I certainly was
even more limited in my knowledge of how to use technology to benefit
the students in my classes. My journey was one of baby steps.
I learned rather slowly and occasionally found myself frustrated.
However, I discovered that through hard work and perseverance, I truly
could succeed. I often relied on the guidance and advice of
others. I found it very valuable to be a member of a truly giving
cohort group as well as having a very technologically gifted mentee
through the PDC mentor program. My family has also been extremely
supportive and I always knew I could rely on the Lord to help carry me
when the burden seemed too large to handle. While I still have things to learn, I am now convinced that I CAN learn them. In addition, I realized how important it is for all of us to be life-long learners. I hope that, as you view my portfolio, you will be able to see the growth I have made both personally and professionally as I took my baby steps through the TET program.
